With this design contest Coca-Cola Germany is searching for concept ideas for the bottle crate of the future. Less is more.
The projection of a future crate should take into consideration a high
quality design. The most important task is to plan its usage as a decorative object. Minimalist design and architecture will define the future therefore the crate should follow the flow. The simple geometry, the asymmetry and the simplicity of the volumes create the contrast between the inside and the outside. Not seeing all the bottles next to each other but only 2 on each side gives the impression of a decorative object. Less shapes and less complicated volumes make its design more appealing. Despite the impression of not using the whole volume capacity of the cube, the bottles are positioned in such way to use the maximum capacity of the volume (9 pack of coca cola bottles).
Such a brand like Coca Cola needs a really unordinary and original design. Coca Cola's crate of the future really needs an imaginative approach.
Celebrating Coca Cola, let's say, after, 50 years will be sad if it is not made with maxium imaginativity and originality.More than a simple crate, as the brand is more than a simple soda name.
Let's assume scenarios such as 'Limited Editions' or 'Coca Cola House Edition' or even 'The Coca Cola Design Line' (strictly related to Coca Cola as soda and all that it implies:bottle's shape, crate, etc but reinterprate them in a more
original and design regarded way).
